Dr. Nadja Torres is a board certified, fellowship trained Ophthalmologist specializing in Glaucoma and Anterior Segment Surgery. She has a special interest in ocular surface disease, pterygium and symblepharon surgery. Dr. Torres is a member of the American Board of Ophthalmology and The American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Torres completed her undergraduate studies at Princeton University. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University she attended the University Of Puerto Rico School Of Medicine where she earned her Doctorate of Medicine degree. Dr. Torres completed both her internship and residency programs in ophthalmology at the Puerto Rico University Hospital. Dr. Torres continued on to Harvard University-Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts where she received her subspecialty training in Ophthalmology Anterior Segment.

Dr. Torres is fluent in Spanish and is new to Texas. Originally from Puerto Rico, Dr. Torres was in private practice there for 21 years. She is a very caring physician and Howerton Eye is very fortunate to have her as a part of the Howerton family.
